Lt. Dan came to the shelter as one of a litter of puppies confiscated from a dog breeding situation.  His front leg was severely injured and required amputation.  Generous HSMC members heard of his plight and “footed” his entire medical expenses.  Lt. Dan was quickly adopted and is living a happy and carefree life with his new family.
